Getting there Update

Just installed polished lowers and black uppers. I have a local polishing guy, that I found on Ebay. Anyway he sells out right lowers $125.00 with oil and seals or send yours in for a credit, decided to keep mine ($25.00) didn't think it was worth the money maybe sometime down the road may want to go black lowers. He did a pretty good job on the polishing, it ain't chrome but dam close.

Scored the HD uppers for $33.00 new in the box from Ebay too!

Added some carbon fiber wrap to the top piece.

Next is paint the front wheel, still working on that.

He does a good job from what I can see! Nice find.

I'm going to go black with mine, not sure if I want to buy new legs and clean up the axle area or just buy some take offs and clean up the rough casting before powder.

For another $100 you could've went chrome with someone selling like new take offs. I've had polished items before, never again, too much polishing and if you don't keep up on it it'll have a hazed look to it. No doubt he did an awesome job on those polished lowers, I'd just hate the upkeep on them myself!

Painted wheel

Got the wheel done today. I'm liking the contrast. I sanded out the machine marks, taped off the areas I wanted that I left with a brushed finish, final finish was with a Red scotch bright pad. Painted black, then cleared over everything. Have wet sand it after it drys. Hopefully I like the results otherwise back to starting over.:frown:
