Has anyone installed glove box locks? I'm thinking about the one eGlide has made. Need to hear some reviews if you have them, thanks.

I haven't seen any but I remember seeing the OEM one on the Yamaha FJR1300 that my buddy had, it was electric and keyed to the ignition, bike had to be on or ACC for it to open. very cool feature.

I bet if somebody made a kit like that for RG it would be popular.
I bought a set of RG specific glove boxes on ebay. They came with lockable hard doors. They look and work great.
My Tour Glides had locks , never figgered why they removed them , but on the other hand the amount of storage space leaves something to be desired

It would be easy to use a lock from the tour pack on the glove boxes since you can order them keyed to match your bike.
Yep. Just did mine over the winter. Got them from eGlideGoodies and they work great. Install can be a little tedious, but worth it.
It was a bit of a pain getting them installed, but once done I liked them. I am going to get them for my 15, but have not gotten to that part of the list just yet.

Do you have any pictures? How long was the process? Did yiu get key matched?

I'll take pics tonight. Keys are matched. Took maybe 2 hours for both.

I bought the kit from Eglide goodies as well, when u order the kit u send them a copy of ur key and they send u the kit with the locks keyed to match. They also supple the hole drill needed to make the key holes. Just need to take ur time... Vehicle door Automotive exterior Vehicle Car

Gotta look at those locks. Broke a LH door spring at SW4, door will suck open at 80 or if a truck goes by. Always thought they should be lockable anyway

I painted the latch catch black to blend in a little more.

Thanks for the pictures and information. I will have to order some now for my bike.
Great, thanks guys. Another thing I'm gonna have to add, good to have since my iPod interface is routed to my glove box.
eglidegoodies??????? DAMIT - Another place for me to spend $$$

That's exactly why I bought my locks!
You can purchase cheaper cam locks if you don't mind having a second key.
I did this with some cam locks I purchased off the net for less than $20.
If you search "Removing Glove Box Lids" you can probably find the thread.
Pretty easy mod. The eglides are nice cuz you can have them keyed to your HD key but I'm a cheap ass and don't mind having a second key so I improvised.
Glove Box Locks

I have the locks from eGlideGoodies on my 2012 Road Glide Ultra. If you order, send them a spare key so they can key code the locks to your ignition key. They work great and I can now secure small items.
Yea... Take your time and measure twice! I was going to make my own but the keyed to my keys option finally won me over to eglide goodies. I had to fiddle with the tabs that you screw into the fairing side of the glovebox to get them to latch. I think I had the tolerances too tight. They work very well if installed correctly. I keep an iPod in one of the boxes so I felt the locks were a good thing. Cheap insurance.
I have them--will post pics later--they were easy to install and look clean. Double-check your measurements, and you'll have no problem.
