Well I let my son talk me into going to the drag strip with him last night, $10.00 run what you brung night... well as you might figure I had to make a pass on the old bagger.. I eased off the line first pass and did not spin, picked the front wheel up in 2nd and went through @ 7.30 @ 75 mph.. This track is only 550 ft.
Not to bad for what it is..
Well here comes mister Smart AZZ kid in a street glide and it was hitting pretty good, he made a single pass @ 6.50.. we talked for a while and just before I came home we lined up , I came off the line @ 3k and blew the back tire off, hit 2nd and blew the tire off again, by then he was gone. I went a 7.18 that pass.
My 99 model 95 in with stock MM injection, his fresh 107, d&d fat cat and who knows what else was done. Going on the dyno next week to get new software from power commander, and a tune up, Probably will not out run the kid but will have fun trying...

Sounds like you had fun man. Win or lose, as long as you had a good time, and didn't trash your machine all was good.

Well the little tuneup on the dyno Monday night has proved it point.
Went back to the track last night and first pass was 7.01 spinning through 2nd gear.
Next pass it hooked and went 6.77
next pass was with the same street glide I ran before, I got him on the tree by .25 and held it through the 330 he got by me at the stripe by a front wheel.
ran a 6.61 that pass.. Done drag racing now just ready to do some rideing...

We had 2 Road Glides a stree glide and a soft tail, tried too get the street glide to run the soft tail but word had gotten around the ST had embaressed a couple of crotch rockets the week before. It got a little 107 in it.

We don't even want to discuss what the 'little voices' in my head tell me. :)

BTW- Its always a great time watching a Harley run with a Sport bike. Great times I'm sure.

Don't feel too bad pte. I know that kid and he can ride. I guess he drops that back tire pressure to about 20 to leave like he does. It is a good 107.
