UPS man delivered my HD lowers from Lakeshore. Ordered them on March 5th and got them in 3 weeks painted! Installed them and I must say that I'm digging the look. Took a ride down to bike night about 35 miles away. It is windy here lately. 80 mph on the highway into a 25 mph headwind and I could feel the wind pushing on the bike more than before. Even in the crazy wind the bike feels even more comfortable with the lowers. I think I have found THE setup for me.

By the way, about 250 bikes at bike night tonight, first one of the season and only 5 RG's. I like not blending in.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics, all I had handy.

I love mine. Worth every penny. I was considering the quick removal kit, but with the vented lowers, I suspect I can leave them on full time. Texas' summer heat will tell soon enough.

I think I'm with you. I spend too much time on the highway for extended periods of time to take them off. I plan on leaving them on year round also but, because mine is an '07, they did not come with vents. I live about 200 miles north of you and have very similar weather. I will probably end up looking for aftermarket vents this summer. Anyone have any recommendations for me?

The plastic snap in style vents (which can be found on ebay) are good bang for the buck. They mount in the forward edge of the lowers. The result offers some wind flow thru the lowers, its not a huge effect, but anything helps. I run my lowers year round. If you have some hwy pegs mounted you can get some relief there.

Great work.I have the same vents. I put them on in reverse so that the lever is on the bottom . I also used double back trim tape so they will not pop out on the road. Every time I see your speaker pods I wish I could do something like that... You workmenship is top shelf........
