Okay, I know most people are running heat shields, but if not, what do you use to get the blue off your pipes? Just picked up a set of Rush 4" Big Louies for $100.00 used, and the left pipe looks like it was the victim of an exhaust leak at the head pipe. I've ordered some Blue-Job Chrome polish to try and get it off, but was wondering what you guys have used and if you'd recommend it.

The pipes will blue right by the heads in most cases, that is where the heat is the highest on the engine.
If the pipes blue too far down then it is an indication that the bike is running too lean which will result in higher engine temps.
If there is blueing by a exhaust connection then there is a exhaust leak.
If you don't have heat shields you should get them and use them.
I used Blue Job on the chrome and it works OK.
