I have a Garmin Nuvi 205W that I can mount to my handlebars, but seeing or hearing the thing is next to impossible at typical road speed. I put a "bonnet" on it and that doesn't help much. If I could output the sound to aux input on my radio and at least hear it I think I could live with it, but there are no output jacks on the Garmin. I have looked at a bunch of other GPS devices including non-Garmin and I don't see any with output jacks. I know some of them have Bluetooth connectivity, but I'm guessing that means I need to wear a headset, right? Any suggestions? Thanks.

I'd consider upgrading to a 4.3" screen. I have a nuvi 765 and it'll run the sound through it's internal FM transmitter to your radio. I mounted mine with a RAM mount on the bars and it's rock steady. Never have a bit of trouble seeing it or using it's functions. I'm thinking your 3.5" screen is just too small.

Route thru radio option

The option I use is to run a line from the headphone plug on the GPS to the input on your radio. I've got an aftermarket radio so this works for me - not sure if the stock HD radio offers this option...Q

Thanks, but that's part of my problem. My Nuvi 255 doen't have an output jack. I'm probably going to buy a 700 series that has an output jack AND an FM transmitter. That way I can use either.

You should be able to find a 7 series on Ebay for less than $100. Make sure when you buy one that it has the FM Traffic data power plug...there is a way to "adjust" it so you get lifetime traffic information.
