Hey all.
I haven't posted in awhile and thought this would be a good time to talk about a recent install.
2017 RG Special.
In 2017 I installed a Diamond Micro2 v2 and D&D speakers.
The amp is fine but I've driven the speakers pretty hard and decided to replace.
I can't complain using the D&D for 6 years.
Last knight we installed these Ground Zero 6.5 and I'm pretty impressed with the sound and added base.
We had to modify the speaker pods a little.
Once finished I added sound deadening.
I purchased these at TDS car audio in Toledo OH.

Somebody be the 'guinea pig' and click those links to make sure there is no payload. :)
I don't see any links - just pics. VS was doing software updates across all 1600 forums this morning, there were glitches for an hour or so.
Nice! I snapped this in two years ago. Plent loud at speak. The bards part is getting quality music files etc to them.
Enjoy!

As someone from Toledo, never thought id see TDS mentioned on this forum and this is the second time. He added some speakers on my bike and tuned it. Getting ready to get a stereo installed and possible more speakers. Thanks for supporting a small shop in my town. He does good work

I looooooove my GZ's! how many watts are you sending to them? I tried mine at 200w and they were way too bright for my liking, I toned them down to about 150w and turned the xover down, and the midrange is perfect and the highs are just right. maybe I'll add a dsp and pump them back up to 200-250w
Hey all.
TDS...Bryan is a great guy and was really helpful when purchasing these.
There's only a couple of places that sell them ...nowhere in Canada.
So I was lucky to find them somewhat close by in Toledo.
We made a trip out of it, picking up the speakers, then doing the 555 OH then back up to Canada.

I'm running a diamond micro v2 and it's a 500 w amp and seem to be doing fine with it.
I'm also running a line leveler.

Just curious what the dsp will do and if you already had them at 200w, why turn them back to that after adding?

when using the stock headunit, with a flash, you lose control of the treble and bass settings, therefore when pumping a lot of watts into your speaker of choice, the highs can be very bright and overbearing.

A DSP allows you to control not only the xovers, but they offer multiple band eq's to adjust the sound to your liking. However, there is a steep learning curve to DSP's...
