I am running with the HD Windsplitter windshield, HD soft lowers, and I just installed the fltr wind deflectors. They make a big difference I think, enough to make it worth buying them. I don't think I will try the baffle cause I am riding pretty good right now. It was 27deg this morning on the ride in and at 80mph I was still doing good with very little wind buffeting. I like the idea that they come back off real easy so when the weather gets nicer I can get the wind back. I personally enjoy riding in the wind, thats why I stay out of a cage as much as possible. If you haven't bought them yet, do it and you will be happy.

Just installed a set yesterday and there absolutely is a noticeable difference. Even with a 14in Wind Vest and HD lowers, I still got a bit of a bounce in my sunglasses before the deflectors - now that's gone.

Can't recall anyone else ever mentioning this but I notice additional wind noise coming off them. I can hear the air rushing past - kind of a steady swooosh... it's kinda annoying. Anyone else notice this?

Can't hear a thing ,got the Tunes too loud . lol

These are stock on CVOs. And as many have mentioned, if to be installed on earlier bikes with the tank recall you need to modify them.

Got me a set. Waiting for those to arrive to install them. Nice and not that expensive mod.

The wind deflectors say they are for '09 and later. Will they fit on my '08??
They will fit your 08 just fine. The only year model (2010) had problems mounting the deflectors due to a MOCO safty recall mod on the fuel tank mount.

If you can hear wind swooshing past then your pipes are not load enough

They make a noticable difference work quite well definatly worth the money. can't understand moco not making them standard on all bikes as cheap as they are

Not sure about the fork baffle...its not standard any longer on the 2010 and later models...I have the other ones that attach to the engine guard...and YES they work for me..I also have a 12" WindVest shield on the way....update on that when it gets here

I had dealer install a set of the HD deflectors Part number 57000063 on my 2011 RG Ultra.
They are installed without cutting the tabs off and are mounted to the tank.

So we have Sanchos Wings, front fork air baffles, and HD Deflectors. The baffles stop air coming up in front of the tank, the HD deflectors stop air just outside of the forks below the fairing on the side of the tank and the wings stop the air from coming around the fairing if I have it correct. How many of you are using two or more products?

I use the HD deflectors Part # 57000063 , Sancho wings and HD lowers. Even with the low HD Wind Splitter wind screen the ride is nice. I still get wind but not bashing wind from all directions. Plan on putting on a 12" Wind vest screen tomorrow.

I'm using the deflectors this thread is about on my three-week old 2011 RG Custom. Put them on Thursday (took 3 mins to figure out how they go and install), did a 390 mile ride Friday and Saturday. Great big difference. I would have never pinpointed that area as a source of the wind turbulence, but for $35.00, I bought them on Amazon.com, and I'm very happy I've got them. I'm 6'4", 34 in. inseam, with a Clearview 13.5" shield, that's being replaced by a slightly bigger one (in shipping right now). The problem I've still got is that with my long legs out on the crash bar highway pegs, the wind whips up my legs to the sides of my head, got to figure that one out. But, those wind deflectors helped a lot, a must-get for any owner, IMHO.:)

Try The Sancho's wings . Great for cutting down on that wind coming in from the sides.
