Is anyone using the Ram handlebar mount for your GPS or PHONE? I have the Samsung note 4 with the otter box. I am looking at the ram mount that uses the U bolt. Also the X-Grip to hold the phone. Is anyone using this type of setup? And what are the pros and cons?

With the size of the Note 4 with a Otter Box case, it may be very tight getting it in even the large mount, but they work great.

i just got the iron aces mount with the x grip and it looks and works awesome. and keeps the handlebars clean. thats my vote.

I use the ram u-bolt type mount and x-grip for my GPS. I dont have any complaints about it. It gives you plenty of movement to get the location that suits you.

I have both with my Samsung Note. Not satisfied with x-grip, it does not stay as rigid as the Ram HOL-PD3U spring loaded. (or as secure)

Are you using the large 3 piece otter box? The two piece plastic case with the rubber outside cover?

If your asking me, the x-grip I am using is HOL UN10BU. It holds the phone well but the holder rocks from the ball to the holder itself.

I've been using the larger xgrip on my iphone plus since november, its the first ram product I am unhappy with, like it was said before it rocks back and forth, I would not feel secure with this on the bike, I am going to buy the holder for the "uncased" phone and just pop the cover off when its on the bike.
