Nevermind!

I found them at Mustang - I also read on V-Twin Forum about the dirt/grime build up and scratching and fading - I was think about them for looks but don't want the paint messed up either.

Ya, that's true but my wife, right now - on the Night Train, doesn't ride much or far. I'm hoping with the Glide she'll be riding more. Other's have said that it was easier to just polish out the scuffs rather than mess with any fading or whatever.

I wouldn't think you would have fading unless the bike sat outside. The dirt build up would only occur if you never wash your bike. If you notice mine (Ridetek's) have open slots around the edge of the lid so when I wash the bike I always let the soap/water pressure push the leather up slightly to wash out any potential grime. They've been great for me and are ultra easy to install. The simply velcro in place from the inside. It would take me 22 seconds to remove them.

But hey, you do what you want.:D

Yea...they would look good but here is my opinion. Orange doesn't show much scratching like black so do you really have to ask yourself if you really need these. Black lids show everything if you know what I mean.

These are something I plan to get very soon. Almost everytime I swing my leg over my bike, I get close to scuffing or rubbing the outside edge of the lid. I just want to prevent it from getting all scratched up since I plan on keeping this bike forever.

Yep, I know - the three RG I've demo'd I hit the left bag everytime - both on and off, with the dealer standing right there - opps! Can I get a discount on that scuff mark there?

Maybe I do have mine on correct. I just think I need a hot day to get them more streched
...... you can tumble them in the dryer for a couple minutes also to make'm more pliant. I've found though that when you heat & stretch'm and leave'm on for an extended period they'll contract & exert unhelpful stress on the stick-on velcro under the bag lid (particularly when it's hot in the summer, ask me how i know).
