Hey, all

Started seriously putting things in the fairing glove boxes recently, and I'm already out of love with the cloth-and-velcro inserts. On one hand, the previous owner snaked a headphone jack into one (so my faux-phone can play music through the speakers), which is a plus. On the other hand, they're cloth. They already got wet once when I got caught in a rainstorm (so presumably with such a hard insert I'd include a seal around the door).

Question: does anyone make a hard glove box insert that I could replace the cloth one with? Wouldn't mind if I had to do some maintenance by taking the fairing off (I'll have to sooner or later anyway), but so far googling hard inserts is netting me nothing (or inserts for the fairing lower glove boxes, which I don't need)(the inserts, not the fairing lowers). Anyone ever heard of anyone doing this? (If not, it'll likely wind up being my excuse to try fiberglass molding--just a step up from the resin molding I do for models. Heh.)

I made some of of tool box drawer liner, they aren't hard but they keep things from rattling around and it doesn't hurt them to get wet.

think you're looking for the cvo type inserts. for the pre-rushmore style, you're looking for. they are much better than those cloth/Velcro ones, and run about $35 each side. 88385-11 - Left Side 88386-11 - Right Side

Your font reminds me of when Doogie Houser used to type onto his 1980s computer at the end of the show. LOL

*sigh* I blame HD for me being a moron. I mean, I'm still struggling with learning Harlish ("it's not a KICKSTAND, chief"), and here they spring cloth-carpeted glove boxes on me.

I apologize to everyone who looked at my question and choked while laughing. (It's not likely my last stupid question, but my major ride for well over a decade's been my Arrest-Me Red Goldwing, Redwing, where most things are easily found. I mean, shoot, Redwing came with a User's Manual!).

I'll figure this out yet. After all, I worked hard to add Blue Glide to my stable. :S

Hah-hah. :) I'm a writer by trade, and I've been writing since the Olden Days, when one actually wrote on a typewriter (what most call Courier and microsloth added a New to for trademark reasons). Anyone I've got an assignment for usually starts off with wanting the manuscript ("file") in something retarded, like Helvetica ("Arial") or Roman ("Times" etc.); I show them how much easier it is to edit something in monospace ("Courier" or "Typewriter"), and usually have a convert quickly. I've had other tech writers get mad at me ("You ruined my groove! I love Arial!") for it, but hey, none of them ride, so heck with 'em.

I just like it better, and certainly don't mistake one digit for another like Arial sufferers do. :)
