I had my seat modified by Mean City Cycles and I absolutely love it. I'm only 5'7" tall so I had them trim the seat down and narrow it. It is still a great seat but on trips longer than a couple of hundred miles, it's a bit bity. On our way to Wisconsin, from Kansas, I stopped in Des Moines, Big Barn Harley Davidson and bought Harley's version the Road Zeplin pad. The Road Zeplin is a bit more $$ than the Air Hawk but what I like about it is that you can pump it up and release air while you are riding. I am told that it is made for Harley by Air Hawk but the Air Hawk pads that I was looking at didn't have this feature so I spent the extra money for the Road Zeplin. This thing took my trip from almost unbearable to comfortable in just a few seconds. One of the things that I really love about it is that I can adjust on the fly and pump up a little bit more when running down the highway and can easily release the air in town, which for us shorter fellas, is a big deal. Also once you get to your destination, you can leave it in the motel or the bags and just ride your regular ol seat. I had considered sending my spare seat to Mean City and having them modify it, leaving more foam in but I'm just not crazy about loosing any of my contact with the ground, so this is a great alternative. I hope this helps anybody that is looking for extra comfort on those extended rides.
