Same thing as this rider...:
During this trip the stock radio on my 08 Roadglide started acting up. The display would flicker on and off. Each time I would stop for gas and start the bike back up, the display would go back to normal for about 30 or so miles and then would start acting up again. Then the damn thing did something that just boggled my mind. The display then inverted. Then clock was at the top and read backwards. During the next fill up for fuel, had a buddy on the trip to look at it just to see that I am not making this crap up. My question to everyone else is, have you heard of this and might know what would cause this?

I checked the software update on it... Everything is good

ST10 v8.25.0
TMS 320 v8.19.0

any thoughts...?

Never heard of that before.
Even though the diagnostic shows the proper software version it doesn't mean that there isn't a software problem. How long ago did you do the update?
I read the directions for the update and it specified a low recording speed for burning the CD. I would first try burning another CD at low speed in the standard format (HFS Plus/ISO 9660) and run the update again.
If that doesn't work what about popping the maxi fuse for a couple minutes to let the system reset?

The radio on my 08 did the same thing. The display started to flicker at first, then died altogether. Not too long afterwards, the entire radio stopped working. My HD warranty was long over, so I sent my radio off to Iron Cross Audio.

It cost me $275 to repair and shipping back to Hawaii, but it work like a champ and they reinforced certain areas of the radio to prevent this from happening again. Oh yeah, and it came with a 1 year warranty, to boot. The whole thing took a little over a week from start to finish.

Very happy with the whole experience. Recommended.

My 07 did the exact same thing on the 3rd radio. It was covered under warranty. Never did find out what was causing the problem. The radio used to solve the problem lasted about four months after waiting about 3 months before it came in. Currently on my fifth or six radio counting the original. Thanks to someone for extended warranties.
