For those that installed the Aquatic media player how in the hell did you get it the fairing??
I tried to install the Aquatic AQ-MP-5BT-H and it won't fit in the hole of the inner fairing. I tried lubing the rubber gasket with dish soap and it didn't help at all. I went in from the front and the rear of the inner fairing and nothing worked.
I put a good amount of pressure on the unit to try to get it to slide but I was afraid of cracking the inner fairing or breaking the radio.

I can't say for sure on the Aquatic, but the Jenson direct fit HU. ,just slid in from the back of the inner fairing and bolted right up. It didn't go through the hole.

The Aquatic rubber gasket is real tight on the RG but the problem seems to be in the corners, the unit would not slip in the opening because the corners where just too tight.
I took a knife and trimmed the rubber gasket on the corners of the Aquatic unit and it slipped right in.
So far the unit works well and the sound is better than the stock Harmon Kardon, I have to have more time to get a good evaluation of the unit.
I did elect to get the base model because the display screen and the read out was much larger which makes it easy to see and it has all the features that I need.

I had not trouble when I installed mine in June. Mine is the 1st gen and the only thing I do not like is no CLOCK.
Not sure what year your bike is or that it matters. I installed an aftermarket stereo on my 2012 and now have a clock on my mileage trip selection. Try clicking it to see if you now have a clock.

Glad to see you got your radio installed Mark. Enjoy the upgrade.

I don't have the clock in the trip meter that I know of, did you access it with the trip meter function button ???. I just ordered a set of J&M Rokker lower fairing speakers today so we will see if that upgrade will help my old ears hear the tunes better. I am sure I will enjoy both upgrades.

Tap the trip meter button until you get to the flashing 12:00 Then it's just a matter of the frustration of setting it >:)..... I think the clock in the odometer came into being with the HK radio introduction.

I did that and it isn't there but it may have something to do with the T-max ECM.

The speakers in the lowers make a big difference. I enjoy the added sound to my system.
