I installed a pair of JBL GTO638 speakers as a direct replacement for stock. Ran them cross country with no issues. After the trip in August I installed a picasso Nano 350. The amp was set with little gain and a slight bass boost. Speakers woke right up. Last month I discovered that there was no low end what so ever coming trough speakers. Plenty of volume in mid/upper range, but no lows.

Question is: what makes more sense
1. Did i burn out voice coil on the low end of the speakers, or
2. Did I damage the bass boost or other part of the amp.

I sort of feel like I have damaged the speakers and not the amp since the RMS of the JBL's is only like 60 watts, and the Nano @ 2ohms claims 175 watts?

I have yet to pull the fairing, but any opinions welcome.

Check the phase on your speakers (+plus -minus). if one is wired in reverse polarity of the other, it phase cancels the other at different distances and frequencies. It could be what sucked the bass out of your sound.
