Recently purchased a 2000 Screaming Eagle it has the stock seat, even on the short ride I have taken it is not comfortable. I had the Mustang one piece touring seat on my 91 tour glide but I think that type would look out of place on this ride. Looking at a Sundowner deep bucket or having the seat done by MCC. What are the pros and cons on this? Would like information from those who have done either.

I bought a Sundowner seat the day I took my bike home (I had a sundowner on a couple of other bikes) and rode about 1 1/2 years with it. I decided to have MCC lower the sundowner and put better padding in earlier this year; I like it even better now and have no regrets (IMO one needs to give the seat some break in time after getting it back from MCC). Seat comfort is something one decides what works best for them.

Thanks for the information, I like the stock seat shape and look for the most part. It is just not comfortable enough. The only downside is I will have to find a seat to put on while mine is off being spruced up.

I would without a doubt send it to Mean City Cycles. Alan does a hell of a good job, and supporting our forums sponsers is always a plus.
