I just bought a set of HCX-690’s and a pair of adapter rings to put these in my bags. I’m running 4 SV 165’s in the front fairing with a set of ST 25 horns. I’m pushing them all with 2 Diamond Audio Micro 4v2’s with an Alpine 149BT. I’m hoping these 6x9’s will sound better than my HAT 5x7’s. I had a guy tell me the Hertz 6x9’s won’t last if they get wet because of the post design of the tweeter? I know a ton of guys run these in their bags. I’m looking for some feedback on what people have experienced before I install them. Many thanks.

I’ve had the HCX 690s in my bags for probably 5 years. Trust me, they have been quite wet a few times. I usually open the bags to let any excess water drain out, but they still work and sound really good.
