Hey guys and gals,

This year after spring opening, I have started to experience some hesitation and pops, and was wondering what you would look at.

I open every spring with the following:

New plugs
Oil / filter

I also did, this spring:

Primary oil <when I did my M6 chain lifter>
Transmission oil

Even before the primary and tranny fluid, I was getting pops and hesitation. The pops happen on accel or decel, but mostly decel and the hesitation almost always happens on decel at 3k or more RPM's. I have been through multiple tanks of gas and almost exclusively run non ethanol gas. When I don't have a choice I also add stabilizer with ethanol remover. I almost never run my gas below a 1/4 tank and semi regularly use Lucas to keep things clean.

I have checked for codes and there are none in any of the categories.

I am at 19k on a 2011 and as far as I know the fuel filter has never been done (if this is a possibility)

After checking gap on my plugs they sat on my tool bench for a week or so and I didn't re-check them before putting them in, so I may look at those, but anything else you would look at specifically? Thanks for any input.

Will do. I've got a big sucker that I cleaned early part of last season. I'll give that a clean again. THANKS!!

Yes, thanks. I did check for codes and none.

I'll do some searching on how to check for fuel lines/fuel filter housing issue.

If I torqued my o2 sensor(s), it would show up in the codes, yes?

Did you check for DTC's??
Check the 02 sensors a steady dose or semi steady dose of fuel injector cleaner isn't a good idea because it will screw up the 02 sensor readings to the ECM and cause running issues.
Also a cracked fuel lines inside the fuel tank or a warp fuel filter housing will cause running issues that will make the bike pop.
These bikes have a history of the fuel filter housing warping and HD did a recall on the 08 models because of this problem but some of the newer bikes have had warped fuel filter housings.

I've always heard good things, but ironmark makes a point, as I see it, I'm using it now, I'll try not for a while and with other things to check at least I can rule it in or out.
