Hello all,

I've searched the forums and am getting mixed messages (or maybe I'm not understanding correctly).

I have a 2013 FLTRX, I bought a tour pack that came off a 2013 FLTRU, same year as my custom. It came with the speaker pods and speakers.

My question is what wiring parts do I need, and special steps (radio flashing??) to properly wire the tour pack speakers. The radio is stock and there is no amp added, just as it came from the factory. I do not what any of the additional controls such as headset wiring, radio control for the passenger - just simply add the new rear speakers.

Normally I would think this is a simple matter but I must be reading threads on complex installations because I am seeing so many different harnesses mentioned, both front and back, and most involve connecting all the additional features I don't want or need.

I just want to correctly connect the two tour pack speakers.

All the help is appreciated.

You can buy an expensive harness or you can run speaker wire from the rear of the radio. It doesn't need to be flashed, the pins are hot.

On the rear of your radio there are two compartments of pins. On the non ultra, the clutch side should be pretty much unused. That's the side with the pins for the rear speakers. It's the first two pins on the top and the first two on the bottom.
