Here is a list of the current symptoms of my '12 FLTRX; sppedo passes the WOW test but, speedp not working, trip reset odo not counting, turn signals don't self cancel, 6th gear indicator inop, feels like its running on only front cylinder and it wants to stall at traffic lights. all this after a very short period of time. shut the thing off and it will restart and idle normally until it gets just a little warm, five to ten minutes tops. Can someone point me in the right direction or do I need to buy an Evo?

ECM/moisture problems

Sounds like an ECM/moisture problem to me. Check your connections. Do you have a tuner or programmer on the bike?

#1. Your ECM could be failing. I have seen it happen with the speedo and tach during very hot weather as well.

#2. Excessive Moisture. Happened to my buddies UC when we were on our way back from SW in Texas this summer. Lost his speedo and cruise control temporarily. We had experienced some bad downpours, possibly moisture related in your connections in the speedo/tach housing as well. Use WD-40 to spray on the connections when you first gently take them apart. Let them dry completely then re-assemble.

Who worked on it
What did they do.
Did you power wash it
How many miles on it

Owned it since new, I recently replaced the stator and voltage regulator, it has about 17K miles on it and absolutely no pressure washing

Could be a ECM problem. If you have a aftermarket EFI tuner take it off and see if there is any change.

Could be the speed sensor. It's in the top of the trans, under the starter. Sometimes they get metal from the trans on it (It's magnetic)
and sometimes they just fail. I have bikes run rough and not idle, as well as have no speedo when they fail.

+1 on the speed sensor. I had very mostly the same symptoms. All good other than 6th gear indicator,hell it won't even shift into sixth.

I had similar symptoms recently on my 12fltrx and my fuel tuner wire to ground (-) terminal was severed , plus I had car washed it. I totally reset my ecm after pulling tuner and chasing what I thought were electrical issues....everything works great now after the rest.
On the plus side I got very good at pulling and installing the faring, and I found ts wires that were seriously getting thin on insulation from rubbing the bullet chrome inside housing. I prob took handle bar switch housing apart 5 times looking for bare wires..lol, I hope you get it resolved soon bc that shit drove me nuts!!
