I am bring my trailer. If you have a mechanical or electrical problem and already at Daytona, you are more than welcome to fix your bike with me. I will be leaving on Sunday, March 15th @ around 10 am to go back to Davie, FL. If I have the room in my trailer, just call and I will try my best to accommodate.

Sunday Bump

It is Sunday 3.1.15, getting near go day. I would suggest that anyone going to and from Daytona Bike week early (I hope) on Friday, March 6th and leaving/returning in Sunday around 10am (I hope) saving my phone # just in case. Call immediately if you are on the side of the road for communication. Remember that times changes (for the worst/late). I hope no one needs to call me. Have a great Bike Week.

I wish to post I have observed scum buckets in cages open doors when they see a motorcycle passing on the gutter or "lane Splitting" in stop and go or stopped traffic. I do not know why they do it but Bikers/people get killed and the cagers get away with it unless your friends can administrate immediate justice. Either way, your week/week end is ruined so keep your own counsel. I witnessed it deliberately done near the Speedway on 42 in stopped traffic.

Very nice offer Howard- shows what kind of guy your are :)

Wish I was going, but I already visited FLA recently.

Plus, I hear that little motel gets crowded. Good thing you got your regular room... I hear Tims room is haunted by a female ghost!

Don't let him ride you too hard, and have fun!

I'll give you a shout when you get home- looking for the Ohlins FKC 101 for my CVO RG.

Update

FYI I got in at 3pm on 3.6.15. I had the A/C on all of the way up as it was around 80º when I left Davie, FL. Spotty infrequent showers almost all of the way but only a few miles that needed a rain suit. I did not stop but I needed to pull over about 5 miles from my final destination and when I got out of the truck it was much colder outside than in. The temperature dropped in Daytona, (they said) likes 25º during that day. It was 52º at around 5pm. Unloaded clothing and computers and when I looked out it was misting the god awful cold mist and some drizzle. Unloaded the bike and brought it under the overhang after taking it to the spray wash to blow off the road crap. Saturday was cold & rainy but today was back up maybe in the low 70º I guess & sunny.

75º now at 2:30 am and looks like it will be going up 82º for the rest of the week but a few days of partly shower activity. Looks to be a good week with some partial rain but toughen up and deal with it. I am sure a good time is to be had if you want to have it. I hope for those who come to live big and go home with a smile, you will never get those days back again.

Yesterday was absolutely an amazing day. Hard to beat. Wife and I stayed away from Daytona due to expected crowds, but we headed west and took a nice long ride and stopped for lunch. Lots of bikes on the roads (and cops)...

That time again, another March is approching

I am leaving sometime Thursday the 3rd of March and returning on the following Sunday the 13th. The same offer (see Post #1) applies. The same also holds true for Biketoberfest except with different dates. Just call me, you have my phone #. Put it in your phone, just like a rubber, you just do not know when you need it.

As with all rallies I attend, I have to trailer as I can not get over 1,000#(?) of tools and products on my bike or in my saddlebags. I will be leaving from Davie FL on the Thursday the third (a little early for the time) and traveling to Daytona & leaving on Sunday 13th (usually between 10~11am). If you are in need of assistance please place my phone # in your pocket (old school) or phone and call me as I will answer. I will have tools and slight knowledge on HD's to either get you going, tow your bike to a repair shop, or Daytona. I offer this every year as I know what it is like being on the side of the road breathing no-see-ums with the day sucking. For you negative thinkers, no I do not charge.

I will also be staying at the Scoot Motel run by a biker who is/was a (Viet Nam Vet Tanker) Marine, a real down home biker, and has no problem helping others in letting me work on your bike (if necessary) along with plenty of free opinions & support from slightly inebriated guests offering cocktails to the downtrodden traveler. You may have to listen to TJ316's hours and hours of "Paint" jokes depending on how much Jack or White Lighting there is. The point is biking is done for the adventure no matter what life throws at you. You must make the best of it as your time on earth is speeding by.
