I am 74 years old today, still working five days a week. And I think I will go around another year and see how I feel about it. I might cut back to four days a week. But if I didn't have a job to get up and go to I am afraid the old man will creep up on me. If retirement is your thing good for you, you earned it.
i miss the paycheck occasionally, but i can do whatever i want whenever i want, and don't have to deal with all the work BS.
i prolly wouldn't have lasted with all the supply chain screw-ups anyway lol
it was time and i embraced it
but i gained 25 lbs lol

Great article on F you money. "F**k You" Money | ZeroHedge

To me it was an owned home with zero debt, a small early retirement pension fortified by a maxed out for years 401k.
One day - the numbers finally worked.
The poor have no shot.
The super rich are as bound to possessions as the parable rich man / camel passing through the eye of a needle.
You, my friends - are blessed and highly favored to be in the simple man's sweet spot.
All Y'all.
