Anyone else experiencing this on the Rushmore models? Mines a 15, and while out on a ride Saturday, I parked the bike because I was going into a store. I had a helluva time getting the ignition to lock. The key wouldn't turn to lock it. I ended up stopping at the local dealership and the senior tech recommended some of the HD lube that comes in a pen. I bought some and it's loosened up a bit, but in my opinion, I've got to push down pretty firmly on the switch to turn the key. It's never been removed so I know that's not the problem. The only thing I can figure is that it's gotten really cruddy because I live on about 1/4 mile of gravel, and it's always dusty here. Any input on this? If it continues to be a problem, it's still under warranty, so I'll get it in do they can repair it. I'd hate for it to decide not to unlock one of these times.

Is your chrome horseshoe trim loose?
Its engaged in the slots, but it does wiggle a bit. That was one of the first things I checked. I might have to pop the instrument cluster off and see if there's anything that is underneath of it, causing the entire assembly to lift up a bit, and getting in the way of the switch. The cluster has been off a coupla times.

Well, disregard, I found the problem. Seems the little rearward most tab on the horseshoe broke which is causing the piece to lift up, obstructing the ignition when I go to lock it. Now, I just need to find a replacement horseshoe.

That piece of trim is a pain in the butt. I got mine reseated, but it's crooked. I decided that it looks just fine that way.

I'd be trading that 'lube back for it..
Ah hell, I'll find some other uses for it. I used to have some that came with my Mikuni carb years ago, and I used to use that stuff all the time because the little needle tip fit into tight spaces.
This just got really bad, I'm talking about lube, needle tips, and tight spaces, all in one paragraph.
