The last couple of days my system has been doing something very annoying, randomly pausing the music.

I am running the latest 1.19.2 software, and have been since that version came out.

I notice it most when playing music from a USB stick, but also notice it with Sirius radio. I don't ever play AM or FM, so don't know if it also happens there.

The status bar along the bottom of the screen displays the Pause icon (just to the left of the signal strength icon) while it is paused.

Sometimes it pauses once during a song; other times it pauses every few seconds. Usually the pauses are 3 to 5 seconds long.

Absolutely annoying. Nothing in the manual about it except that the system will pause if you are getting a text or phone call - neither match my scenario. Anyone else seen this?

Same bike same issue. but mine started after Sirius radio was reinstalled (let the trial period expire). This is the type of issue that Sirius will blame Harley and Harley will blame Sirius. When this pause occurs there is no GPS or CB running.

Not actively navigating. I don't hear anything during the pauses.

My mech complained of the same thing on my bike once during a test ride.

I had turned the GPS prompt volume to minimum. She was screaming but muted.

A half ass decent programmer would stop voice prompts if the volume is set to zero.

Not saying that's your problem, but it certainly doesn't encourage my confidence in the development team behind this system.

I have the prompts turned up sufficiently loud enough to hear. When the music is paused there is no sound at all.

Tested a couple things in the garage today. In my limited test it did not pause with Sirius, but did when the source was Media (usb stick in glove box). I also noticed that the pauses seemed to coincide with activity on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S5). If I received an email or a text or whatever, the music paused during that activity. My phone is connected via Bluetooth. I also noticed that the radio would initiate something that caused a pause: a message on the phone screen that H-D Radio was requesting to access messages.

I looked in the manual & it says this is normal behavior unless a headset is attached.

Turn the bluetooth off and it will stop or when a text, notice, email, etc happens it's letting you know. Turn notification sound off on smart phone and you will still get the banner when you get a notification and it will stop what you are talking about.

I'll have to try this out next time I get to ride.
