I bought these lowers.
Lower Vented Leg Fairings Glove Box for Harley Road King Electra Glide Touring | eBay

Actually paid $84.00 the price went down. Anyway they fit great came assembled and painted a very nice gloss black. What and why all the extra hardware to mount them ie quick release kits, another $50 and up cost.
All I need is a band clamp for the bottom and done! I'll get that from the local store. I did cut off about 2.5" from the top cover to fit the 15 RG, like everyone else has to.

Also bought these, for speaker pods. Harley Davidson Vented Lower Fairing Speaker Pods Street Glide Road King HD H D | eBay

I got lucky with these for $49.00 on an auction that nobody else bid on, starting price was the same. They have a textured finish like the
lowers have, color not quite the same, but everything will get painted to match my Red Sunglo.
I have a pair of Polk Audio db651's coming to put in there.

So for $200.00 plus painting I'll have a nice set of lowers, with decent speakers. If your bike is Vivid black your ahead of the game!

I put the set I had in the shop from the FLHX I totalled. Really made a huge difference on the '15 RG. Way better wind management with the fixed faiting vs the batwing. Only time they will come off is for paint and then right back on.

I went for a short test ride afterwards, and notice the same effect about the wind noise! Didn't really feel anymore heat than without them at night time, might be a different during the HOT day time riding here in south FL.

I bought a set of Fairing Factory vented lowers years ago for my 02 FLHT. When I traded that bike in on my 15 RG, I kept them & repainted them JD Blitz Black to match my denim paint. Anyway, when I got the lowers, the outer shell & caps had the HD bar & shield logo & an HD p/n embossed on the inside of them. The glove boxes were FF brand & the fit was horrible & all hardware was junk so I replaced all that with HD stuff. The HD boxes fit perfectly and now the vents work as they should. With the junk hardware that was provided, the vents wouldnt open/close all the way. They do make a big difference as far as debris and wind. Even better if you get caught in the rain or on wet roads.

Very nice. I hear a lot of guys just remove the vents in the summer. I have the non vented HD lowers , and have to take them off in the summer her in S. Ga.
Are these vented lowers the same as what Mutazu sells ? Thinking about upgrading to vented lowers with speaker pods.

That's what I was thinking too about Mutazu. They're all probably made by the same company across the pond and over here they are marked up for resale. I truly was surprised about the paint though, it's really nice. Too bad I can't utilize it. I was thinking about just removing the adjustable vent all together too.

I put the vented lowers on a couple of months ago and really like them. They made a big difference in improving the wind on my legs and I really do not see much dif in the temp. I live in central FL on the gulf side.

South Florida with vented lowers. Did not notice a difference, certainly not enough to get rid of them.
I was not sure about the heat issue either. I never rode a bike with them before and didn't have them on two previous bikes. So for the money involved and the added speakers I'm glad I have them now!

Where about are you located?

They look awesome ! did they come with ANY hardware?
They came assembled, the only thing I added to mount them was a 1 1/4" cable clamp I bought at ACE hardware for a $1.29 ea and some fender washers, 1/4-20 nuts and bolts. I really don't see the big deal with using a 10mm socket and 7/16 wrench to remove them when needed. Save your money from buying a quick disconnect from where ever and buy what I did. Besides when speakers are mounted it's more involved and your tool box is open anyways.

I have thought about putting on lowers and everyone talks about cutting off a couple inches to make them clear. Unless I missed it I have never seen someone post a pic of that to show what you are talking about. Can you show me what you are talking about trimming? Thank you.
