I finally received my CFR slip on pipes this week and am going to install them today. I am taking off V&H monster ovals. I am excited for the better sound that the CFR's provide, but wondering how the fuel map will work out. I am thinking I will probably need to have it re-tuned. FYI- it took about 14 weeks to get the pipes. I ordered them direct from CFR. They were very nice and did respond to me with all my inquiries, but holy cow, they should hire a few more people, unless they want to keep the demand high.:D

You will love those pipes! You should get bike retuned, otherwise you run the risk of having the pipes discolor for improper tune.

I love the sound of my CFR's but you lose a little low end torque, and they are probably the worst slip-on's to tune. They do sound awesome though.
I had the first version of the CFR's on my bike and did not run into any issues with tuning. Although I have heard of issues with the newer version.

Yeah I know, didn't notice that before. I'll try to tighten it up. Thanks.
