J&S Jacks - Disappointed

When the Road Glide is up on the J&S stand, it is very steady. I can shake it and pull on the bike to move it.
When it was on the Harbor Freight stand, and I had to move the bike, it required me to handle the stand. If I tried to use the bike, I would have pushed the bike off.
That is a stronger frame, in my opinion.
i had a hf jack too, back in 2012 or so. when my bike was lifted, i made sure that i had straps holding it on the jack, and i was still anxious about the amount of 'wobble' that it had. i replaced it with a j&s that i picked up from a harley dealer in milwaukee and have had 0 regrets since. i gave away the hf jack.

The bottle started leaking a few months ago - marking its spot ;) Need to get a hold off them for a fix - maybe after holidays - or after supply chain - maybe there's a kit for that.
I recommend the oil pan adapter too. Fits right on the jack & diverts everything into a lo profile catch can.
where's it leaking? mine was leaking so i decided to just replace it. i found a bottle jack, but it turned out to be just a smidge too tall and wouldn't let the frame rails lower all the way. went to harbor freight and bought an o ring kit and disassembled the plunger and replaced that o ring which ended up curing my leaks and gave me full lift back. all for less than $10

The other thing that people are forgetting about is the manufacture supply chain issues that were dealing with in this country from the sleepy Joe administration. These policies are putting thousands of small businesses of hard-working middle-class Americans out of business. None of the bitching and complaining that’s going on this thread is going to do a damn thing to help this company. From some of the posts people are receiving their jacks it’s just taking a while.
first, this administration has nothing to do with it. they have been operating like this for years.

i heartily endorse my j&s jack. but, i do not make light of the situation that many of our members have been dealing with in this regard. i got lucky. i bought my jack from a harley dealer in wi. i went by their factory to purchase one from them, but they were out of stock, having just shipped them all out to dealers in the area and customers. they called a dealer nearby, they had a couple on hand so they held one for me and i went to them to purchase it. they even gave me a 10% military discount. i was in the area and had my truck so i didn't have to deal with shipping. they were nice folks, even gave me a tour of their 'factory'.

if anyone lives anywhere near the area, call around to some of the harley dealers and see if they have any in stock.
