I just purchased and installed this headpipe on my 2010 FLTRX. All I can say is WOW. The sound is perfect with the Vance and Hines slip on. There is no throttle lag or the slight hesitation it used to have. It gets up and foes right now. Very good product. Highly recommended. Workmanship is great. The welds are okay. Everything I've been looking for.

As I have the V&H slip on as well I am considering this headpipe for a winter modification. How much was it? Did you do the install yourself and if so how difficult was it. Can you post a photo? thanks.

Price was $419.00. Shipping was 18.99. I did the mod myself. Took an hour. Looks identical to the stock pipe. Heatshield was a bit of a pain where the cat used to be. But what a difference in sound and power. Gonna take the shields off anyways and wrap the exhaust this winter in black tape. The muffler I have is the stepped megaphone style. Throaty and loud.

Too Short

Hey man, I have been following this thread, and you guys finally peaked my curiosity. Which slip ons are you running from V&H?

Not sure what they are called but mine are the less expensive ones with the double cut slash down exit. I like them. They sound deep but not loud. Much more like a performance sound than a classic harley sound. I think the cat has a lot to do with that. I am sure that they will be louder if I replace the headpipe that removes the Cat. That and cost is realy my delema as I do not want the bike loud. I now enjoy cruizing and listening to the stereo.

Being as my bike came with a 2 into 1 I put the stepped megaphone style on. Got it from Dennis Kirk for 185. With the jackpot 2 into 1 pipe with no cat it sounds bad ass. Got the wrap coming from Jegs. Gonna wrap it before the season ends

I don't understand the Jackpot head pipes. I have an 09 Road Glide. Aren't these 2/1/2 head pipes? Why would they be better or different than my stockers?

No Catalytic converter's in the head pipe like stock head pipes. Free flowing exaust headers, thus less heat on the right side of the bike.

No catalytic converter on the 2-1-2 or 2-1 headpipes. More sound and power. Bike runs hotter because I used exhaust wrap instead of heat shields. But the no cat was my primary reason for purchasing.
