Just finished 30k service on the Rooster ‘15 CVO RGU. Had a bad compensator, Rotor, Main drive bearing, motor mount tranny case. The glories of ext warranty $50 repair.
So now Friday afternoon we load out going to run across and thru AR and hit Estes Park from there. Run Rocky MT Park and over to Jackson and the Tetons. East side of Yellowstone and thru the Beartooth. Got a Family Reunion in Pony MT so will stay there a couple days then shoot to the east entrance of Glacier, run Going to the sun then head south towards the Grand Canyon.

Any roads I’m missing? We have run all over SD so not really interested in that area, western MT, Utah, and along the route south to The North Rim is what I’m looking for.

Wow! That sounds like a blast, Shadow! I need to do this soon...

Living in Albuquerque for 6 years before moving to Florida, I loved riding through SW Colorado and southern Utah. Highway 550 south from Montrose through Durango is an incredible ride, and loved riding through Monument Valley in SE Utah.

Whatever you choose, many safe miles from your neighbor in Orange Park!

Well if you are from Orange Park we are open to rides around here too, been pretty much everything I can find from JAX south to Ocala and East of there. not much North yet. One little 150 mile run up thru Hilliard and over to Fernandina to the Hammerhead for a Margarita and Bartender view..

If you're going to be at Glacier you should drop down to Lolo, MT (just south of Missoula) and ride Lolo Pass to Kooskia, Idaho. Epic, epic, epic ride, if you like 100 miles worth of twisties! From there ride south to McCall, ID (stop for a beer at Salmon River Brewery) and then on to Boise. You will not regret it and it's on your way to the North Rim from Glacier.

Other rides you might also check out are Chief Joseph pass while riding the Beartooths, and Hwys 14 and 16 in Wyoming's Big Horn Mtns.

Ride safe!

Couldn't have said it better; rode the 550 for the first time in '16; it is one gorgeous stretch of pavement. Glacier was still snowed under when I went, I was seriously bummed but the rest of the trip was PERFECT! Enjoy!! vring; give me a shout when you decide to do this; (if you don't mind company). Think I'll go look at some pics from '16. Here's wishing you the perfect trip Shadow :)

Just mentioned to MightyWhity as he's head in that way.... head to Stanley Id to ' Lowman Pass' (or vice versa for him) then down forward to your direction, its worthy. check for fires as always with Lolo
, we've done Lolo many more times than Lowman' and rate Lowman higher. We'll be out that ways in wk too.

Lolo Pass is overrated in my book. Last I heard they’re doing a bunch of road work on it and there’s alway a police presence on it so you have to watch your speed as well. I don’t know if anyone has mentioned Butler Maps but they have them for most of the Western states. They’re made for motorcycle riders and have recommended rides in all the areas your talking about riding.
If your doing Going to the Sun there’s some good rides to the north up towards Yakk. The East side of lake Koocanusa is a good ride to get there. The West side would be better but I rode it 2 years ago and the tar snakes were horrible.
