So after finally finding an exhaust that I REALLY like for a price I couldnt pass up.... My 16 FLTRXS is running MGS True Duals, a Harley Stage 1 breather kit with no cover, and I decided on a TTS Mastertune. Kelly at Performance Specialists in Kingman, AZ Tune my bike in only a few runs (he said) yesterday afternoon. I'm thinking the lack of runs and time spent is partly reasoning for my Torque curve to not be quite as smooth as my HP curve. Although I know dyno sheets can be fooled... my ass was firmly planted when I hit the throttle on the first straightaway I got to...and good thing!! My bike pulls! Not quite in the RPM rang I'm really looking for...but cams will come this summer :grin::grin:

All in all... 80.08 HP and 96.89 TQ... for my stock 103HO motor breathing a little better now..I'm happy with the numbers, but more happy with the feel!! Guess the next question is how my mileage is going to be affected...

Congrats on the good tune i will be getting a tune this spring using a TTS Master tune,hoping to get rid of a flat spot i have with my cobra tuner.

Pretty nice numbers. Wait until you get the cams in there. I was torn between the Screamin eagle 204 cams or the Andrews 57h cams. Ended up ordering the Andrews last night along with some .030 head gaskets..

Just food for thought. When you get what ever cams in the future, get a good dyno guy to smooth out your torque curve. With a little time and massaging, he should be able to give you a real smooth torque line with out the wiggles all along the torque curve. You will be much more happy with the results.

The wiggles are because he had the smoothing set to zero.

A full tune should take 20-30 runs. I'm betting that he stuck in a Stage I tune and then just worked the full throttle run. I'm sure that it runs great full throttle but how does it run throughout the rest of the ranges?

My buddy that does dyno tunes and I went to the V-Twin Expo in Cincinnati a few weeks back. He uses Direct link. Direct Link has a separate device that once you do the initial pulls and get the numbers in all the boxes, it gives you what should be in the boxes that need to be corrected. He then transfers the repaired boxes and then starts the real tuning pulls with these numbers installed. It's amazing how it cuts down on the fine tuning time. What normally would take 3-4 hours can now be done in 1 1/2 hours. The device uses the oxygen sensors to predetermine off the first good pull to set some values. Also, it doesn't use the harley sensors. IF there is not bungs 3"s or so away from the head, he has these bungs that you drill a hole under the heat shields and they slip in and use a bolt to collapse the back side for a completely sealed fit. He then hooks his Direct link sensors there for the perfect readings instead of in the end of the pipe. Once finished, there is a small screw or plug the goes in the device and the heat shield goes back on. He does some nut on dyno work. Got to love the new technology, well new to me anyway.

You'll have to let me know what you think of the Andrews...I'm debating between that one and mainly the Tman 555 Torqster...They look similar on print outs, but I know there are small differences. What was your reasoning behind the head gasket swap?

I think it feels pretty smooth all around. And yes, WOT is pretty decent as well. This is the first time I've had a bike tuned, so I don't have a whole lot to go off of... The AFR table seems a little off to me though. And the last two tanks I've put through it seems like my mileage isn't quite what I was expecting. I keep reading that guys are getting between 38 to 42s, but I can't seem to break 38... I run highway mostly, 80 mph cruse control. Maybe something's off with the AFRs?

Any recommendations? Yes, I see you live in Texas, but I'm up for an excuse for a long couple days ride... :D :D

If you're looking for an excuse to travel to Texas then check out Ed at The Dyno Difference in NE Dallas. He uses direct link and can tune with any tuner you have. Very thorough (ANAL) with his tunes, you would't be disappointed.

I am doing the head gasket swap to increase the compression a little bit more.

apgharleymech looking at your dyno sheet your afr never goes above 15.00 and it says you are using wide band oxy sensors at 18.00 afr

What about at like 1700 rpms? And I'm just running my stock O2 sensors. After running the bike with the time for a couple weeks, I'm definitely not really happy with it. I'm only getting 32-35 mpg and my idle is choppy... I have a set of woods 555s to put in, hopefully soon, and finding someone new to tune it.

That's not good, my 107" gets better mileage then my brothers stock 2015 103"

I AM LIVING IN BULLHEAD CITY FOR THE WINTER THE HARLEY SHOP IN KINGMAN HAS A DYNO LOOK IN LAKE HAVASU FOR A DYNO TUNER Twisted Metal Cycle Shop LAKE HAVASU CALL AROUND AND FIND A TUNER THAT IS GOOD WITH THE MASTER TUNE I THINK KINGMAN HARLEY ONLY DOES SERT HERE IS INFO ON AFR

Another excellent tuner in the Lake Havasu area is Steve at Fullsac Performance. You will not be disappointed. He does cams and such also so if You're thinking of any more work. Contact him.

I do all my own work, which will include some woods cams shortly. I just don't have a way to tune it myself...haha but I'll look him up.
