I thought I would write a little review on the 15” pro tour windshield I just installed. I desperately was searching forums trying to find a review. But to no avail. There was a few on the 12” version. I was afraid it may be to tall for me, especially because I wanted to get the darkest tint to add to the sexiness of my black 2019 FLTRU.
I am 6’6, 34” inseam. Running stock seat, 16” ape hangers.
The kw 15 pro tour sits about 2” taller than the stock windshield. So for me I had plenty of room for that added height. I would say it’s just about perfect. Could easily go a couple inches higher and have good sight over the windshield.
The darkest tint still allows enough light through to see well. Even at night with the LED headlights it pretty good.
The windshield does not interfere with my ape hangers at all. I have them pushed as far forward as I can. Clutch cable touches my fairing when I make a full turn. And I still have about an inch and a half clearance from the windshield.
It is a major upgrade from the stock windshield by a mile. Way less wind noise, I still get wind on my forehead. But that’s the curse of my height I suppose. My wife/passenger also notices a huge reduction of wind. She is only 5’2, so mostly hides behind me anyway.
I think I covered what my concerns were before buying it. Hope it helps someone.
