Anybody have any experience with these bars? Quality, fit, finish?
I'm shopping for bars for a winter project, and have looked at the Factory 47's, Yaffe, Vindikta etc..
With the Canadian dollar where it is, the Factory 47's are going to be just under $800 by the time I get them here..The local dealer ordered Yaffe bars 6 months ago and they just got them in! $700 and change! And nothing for my 15 Road Glide. They're saying 8-10 weeks if I order now. KST are considerably cheaper, and to be honest, I can't tell much diff between any of them while surfing the net. So, I guess what I'm asking is...... are the Yaffe or Factory 47's worth 300+ bucks more??
Open to any suggestions.
Thanks

I think my KST bars are great. Bought mine this time last year, very reasonably priced, asked for 10" and they delivered with a quick turn around.

I am also thinking of getting the KST and have looked at them in person a few times. They look just as well made as the more expensive bars. I don't think you can go wrong with them.

I too have the 12" KST outlaws in black on my 15 RGS. Fit and finish is solid. The pullback is limited and I would prefer more it works well enough for me. The price is great and product is available. If pullback is important then get what will make you happy.

I went with Factory47 Malo for my 2016 RG but also looked at Vindikta. Factory47 did me a solid by moving up my delivery to align with build schedule. I would have gone with Vindikta but their bar comparable to Malo appeared to have straight uprights and I preferred the double curve of the Malo. I only considered these companies because I wanted a beefy 1.5" bar.

Prior to me posting this, I had spoke with Brett from KST,and I asked him about the width. He said they're 37" and he could "tweak" that to make them a little narrower , which would create more pullback , but the wrist angle may get a little uncomfortable. I have 10" bars on my 12 limited. I think they're about 36"- 36 1/2" wide? I'm gonna have to check that (bikes tucked away for the winter at my brothers).
I'm 6' with 30" inseam. I could definitely get away with 12's or 14's but probably go with 10's. Really like that height on the limited, and they can be a little sticky on bar height here.

Looking at the 14" mayhems on a 15 RGC. Anyone run them with factory cables and wires. I know the factory47 say you can run their 14s with stock wires and cables. Lack of pullback would be best for me as I am 6'3" and have gorilla arms.

I stopped by the KST booth at Sturgis this year (I think they were in the J&P parking lot). They were great looking bars, and they even had a set of 14" on a Road Glide, to test fit. They had a pair of the 10" on hand. It seemed they didn't have enough pull back for my comfort. I'm actually OK with the position of the stock bars. Just wanted to get some custom bars. I don't recall if it was the Mayhem or the Outlaw model.

They weren't doing installs, and I wasn't tooled up well enough to take on the task (3000+ miles from home). That being said- I was ready to pull the trigger, but they wouldn't install. And I didn't want to pay to ship them home. I'm now looking into the Factory47 Assault in 10" rise, which offers greater pullback. AND, they're the fatter 1-1/2" diameter, which I think looks a bit beefier. Unfortunately, the lower rise bars aren't as popular, so they don't stock them. They have to build them.

Also: the KST's are stainless steel, rather than chrome. Structurally, it's stronger material than chrome-plated steel, and you'll never have to worry about rust or rot.

If anyone has a photo of the 10" F47 Assault on their RG, please post up a photo. If you know of a good photo elsewhere, please direct me to that thread or link.

Comfortable bars are paramount to a long ride. Almost as important as the seat, IMHO.

Happy Holidays to all.
