As much as I would like to make that run, I will be lucky to get a local ride in that early in Spring. DAMN IT--why do I live up here again? Oh yea, job=$$$=bill's paid... :D

I started going on the Laughlin River Run in 1983, when it was an MDA Benefit Run.
But Dale didn't want to give money to the MDA. So they dropped the Benefit part and just kept the Run part.
It is still the largest gathering of vendors in one small spot. I love to see what I can do to my ride.

I haven't stayed for the Weekend in many years. I went up on Tuesday and left Friday.
This year I have the weekend off and not the mid week.
So looks like I will be there for the weekend. Wow, what a change?

Wife and I are heading down. Not much of a crowd guy, but supposed to meet some friends that are new to bikes/rallies . . .
They want to camp but have made no rez's, I've never camped there, any recommendations?
Be the first time in my life I've ever put a running bike on a trailer . . . just too long/cold of a ride for me to subject her to, even though she says she's game.

Thanks for any info.

If you have an RV call the Riverside or Tropicana Express to see if they have space. You could also check in Bullhead City to find if you might get somewhere cheaper than the Casinos. They usually charge too much diring the Run.

Davis Dam county park they have RV spots and tent camping available. You can also go to Katherine's landing it is part of the Lake Mead National Park. If you are looking for a RV spot I would reserve one as soon as possible.

Thanks Guys. Called around, did some searches. Finally made some reservations at Davis. On the river, walking distance to downtown. Nice sounding folks, set us up together in a corner, we'll see how it goes.

'Preciate the info. See ya there.

Never been before, but thinking of making the trip. I am not really into the casino thing, looking for some great riding. Are there good rides in the area? I know it isn't far from Vegas, been there done that.

Yep there is a lot of great riding in the area if you like desert scenery. Most riders that go to the river run never ride into Las Vegas because most riders in Vegas are at the run. But you can make a nice ride up to Boulder City and check out the dam and the new bridge, that is about as close to Vegas that you would get.

You can go north to boulder city and loop around to Kingman....about 180 mi

Go south and loop around Needles....about 125 mi

Oatman is a place that gets crowded during this bike week....a small town southeast with old west atmosphere and dirt streets......about 90 mi

Oatman-Toprock AZ, (google maps) is part of the Historic Route 66....

Hope this helps!
