I don't have a list but I did just get the jensen HD1BT. It is water proof and has some other really good features, but the jury is still out on sound. I had a brain fart when I put it in and got in a hurry and forgot to retune my amp. It did not sound great at high volume. I went back in and retuned the amp and have not been able to ride since then. It does not really blow me away in the garage but that could just be some buyers remorse. On the good side the install could not be any easier. You keep your hand controls without having to get an aftermarket interface. I read some reviews where guys complained about the response to the controls beeing slow but it does not seem bad to me. Bluetooth works great. It also has the weather band. It has the RCA outs to hook up to the amp or you can hook it up using the stock harness and the speaker wires. I tried it both ways and I think the RCAs sounded better. I also got the plug that has a USB jack and a 3.5 jack that I mounted in my glove box for another $20. I got it on ebay for $410 shipped and that was the best I could find. Good luck with your search.

I think Biketronics and Hawg Wired both make an interface for the hand controls. I have heard some guys have had a problem with one of them causing some feedback in the radio. Keeping the hand controls and the weather band were the main reasons I went with the Jensen.

Good luck with a splash guard.... That's all they are good for a splash. I had a couple different brand head units and I tried the biketronics stupid snd hawg wired stuff but all it took was being stuck in a medium down pour to change my mind. The marine grade H/U lasted longer than a standard car H/U with a splash guard.

I bought a jensen H/U and it works perfect. It has everything you need or want. iPod,Usb,sat radio,am/fm and weather band. It passed my rain test too. I washed my bike with the radio on and took the water hose and sprayed it directly at the H/U for several minutes without any problems. Try that with your " splash" guard. Any of them.

I looked at a LOT of different units last night, and so far, this Kenwood is my top choice:

I like the features, just need to see if there's an interface to hook up my handlebar controls.
I have this unit in my glide, it works with the handlebar controls also. I haven't been able to dial the display in yet for those sunny days where the sun is behind me, and waterproof it is not, but it is a good unit overall. Just add the v-twin audio install kit and splash shield and you'll be fine.

Just want to update what I said about the jury being out on the Jensen sound. Finally got it out for about 50 miles yesterday for my first ride after I tuned my amp. Sounds much better than it did before and I think it will work fine for me. Probably better sounding units out there but at 80 mph it sounds good enough for me. Have you decided what unit you are getting?

Probably the highly overpriced Jensen as well. I'm just so against having a splash guard on the bike.

Some guys said the Alpine 149 bt has held up well with out a splash cover. I have been in several down pours since my install of the 149 , but I use the splash cover. I actually think the splash cover looks good.
