I've been looking at those as the price difference between HD and those is huge. Any documentation one way or another here about the quality of them, fitment?

Wade
I have those exactly not because Im cheap but I wanted to see the quality. Here is what I got for ya,

Goods:
theye are actually well made and sturdy ABS

they come unfinished (but I have a denim so with a little prep and primer they were good to paint with the John Deere paint.

Bads:
cost me about 40$ to buy what I needed to mount it along with the time at lowes and home depot. There is no snaps for the "covers" (didn't affect me I have speakers in there.

I have a 13' custom so I have to modify the front "cap" and swap my fairing stablizers to fit like a Ultra.

There are no instructions, with that said there is only about 6 peices per side, but its still a little tricky.

I think I will like them. If not I will buy the harley ones, but like I said I really wanted to see how they were to give a recomendation.
OH!! and when I bought them and told the seller about the instructions and mounting hardware, her refunded me 20$, Stand up buisness.

bid4ez was the seller, I see he has collected a few negatives, but those look like cheap ass buyers wanting gold at copper prices. I HAVE THEM AND WILL STAND BUY THEM.

Hope it helps ya brother:D

I shopped around in May and the best price for HD pain match lowers was Manchester HD in New Hampshire. I paid $515 I think delivered in color match Candy Orange. Ask for "the discount" and it's 15% off all parts, clothes etc.
btw: I don't know them, live near them or small talk with them. I just found after awhile searching they have the best prices.

Lowers

My .02, I went the cheap route first and bought the Mutazu lowers from reviews of forum members, $227 to my door, looked good at first but on 2 of the pieces the paint was terrible and one glove box piece mold injection was short shot and could not assemble the vent. Plus when assembled I thought they were flimsy and cheap compared to the OEM which I checked at a dealer. Mutazu would refund shipping on damaged or items sent incorrectly buy NOT DEFECTIVE!!! C'MON MAN!!! In this case you get what you pay for. So I ate the $25 to return them for a refund and they lost a customer for life. So I bought some hardly used HD lowers off Ebay and they are solid, fit and function perfect, big $$$ but I will leave them on because of how well they work and I LIKE they way they look on the bike...JMHO...:D

After researching everything that I could find, buying them new from a discount dealer made the most sense to me

You can't go wrong with the HD vented lowers, they may cost a bit more but you get a good fit and a quality product.

Now, do i need different mounting brackets from my crash bar to my fairing? The lowers will not fit with the lower mounts on the bar......

thanks in advance

Can't see what year your bike is from posts or profile, but pre-2010 RGs need RG-specific lowers or you have to buy new brackets that raise the rear mount point by about 1" like all brackets on 2010 and newer. Otherwise you'd have to cut into the lowers to provide clearance so they don't run with fairing.

What year bike?? If you have the 2009 or earlier models you will need to raise the upper fairing using all 3 of the 2010 fairing mounting brackets. Raising the upper fairing vs cutting IMO you will be happier raising it. PC. Pain can get you all the required brackets to raise the upper fairing. I raised the upper fairing on my 2008 and put on the 2010 vented fairing lower on my bike and I am very happy with them.
