This may have been asked before, I am installing my new lower fairings to narrow on my day off. How you you guys run the electrical.

From the speaker, down to the bottom of the lower, to the bike frame and up to the amp in the fairing?
And tricks to hiding the wires?

Not sure what year bike you got ,or what lowers. On my 2010 , using Matazu lowers. I came out of the fairing, where the turn signal wires go in. I then drilled a small hole in the inside side of the speaker pod. I also used a small piece of black plastic wire conduit to conceal the exposed speaker wire in between the fairing & speaker pod.

Also, my bike is a 2015 rgs with matuza lowers.

My speaker covers for these lowers don't look very protective from the elements. Has anyone used a different speaker grill that would do better at keeping the water out?

I'd like to use the covers that came with my JBL GTO speakers, but they are too damn big.... and I hate to take the dremel to my brand new lowers

Go to tractor supply or any good hardware store and get 1/2" spacers to put between the speakers and the lowers. use # 10 screws about 1 1/4" long and snug it all up. that's how I did mine and its quite solid. 1000 miles so far with no issues

My speaker pods should be here this week. Now that I got the other priorities paid for, stereo upgrade should be next! I plan to run the wires out the fairing cap along where it covers the engine guard, then up the frame where the rest of the wires run into the upper fairing to the amp.

I also wanted to use the infinity covers but ran into the same problem as you. I'm currently using the covers that came with the lowers. They got wet a few times. So far no problems. I use the Hawg Wired grill covers on the upper fairing and they got soaked plenty up there and still works great.

I was going to run the wires that way , but the thick speaker wire I'm using kept the cap from mounting tight.
