Hey guys I just finished installing the lowering links on my 13 RG. Settings are from 1-3 inches. I set mine in the middle at 2 inches. I sit a lot better on the bike now which was my main concern, but I was wondering if anyone knows of any "after effects" of using these kits. Does it change the tension on the belt? Just curious... Big difference from my 09 Low rider which I was able to just about flat foot with stock suspension. Sucks being vertically challenged at 5'8".

I don't know but have read you will bottom out more and the suspension could bind. The whole thought of bottoming out has stopped me from doing this. Curious what your results are....

I've had the 1" lowering blocks on for about 33k miles without any issues. I just removed then because I did the Monroe DIY air shock set up. I don't know if I'd go lower than the 2" you did as you will sacrifice ride quality. Since your kit is adjustable, play around and see which works best for you

I had the same adj. kit on my bike for 8K miles, only thing is they tilt the shocks slightly. Will cause the shocks to slightly rub on the inside of your bags, nothing major, only thing that really happens, also if you have a heavy enough passenger you experience some tire rubbing as well having it set at the 2" drop.

So far so good

Had the bike out for a bit this past weekend. First it is much easier for me to ride. Secondly, no rubbing or hitting the exhaust. Very happy with the results at this point.

Interested in doing this for the hell of it to my ultra just for 1" and see if the change of angle in geometry of the shock will cause any change in ride.

I'm using a similar set up with my Monroes. 2nd hole that way the shocks don't lift up to the sky. Eyelets are welded up also. Run front air also. No issues.

I ran 1" lowering blocks on my 1st RG for 40k without issue. Put them on my 11 RGU for 15k then added Monroe air shocks and left the lowering blocks on with them. Still not a problem.

It does change the angle of the shocks but only a small amount. I ran 1" blocks for several thousand miles (33k by the way) and it wasn't a noticeable difference. I doubt you'll be able to notice any change

My mistake on the belt. Should be the opposite. Dyslexic thinking sometimes takes over. Not a fan of a lowered bike anymore. Practicality has taken over my soul unfortunately.

Not sure when this happened as I used to ride a slammed softail but I guess I'm getting older.
