Alrighty, I know alot of you have lowers on your bikes....how about some photos of lowers and a short windshield, no trunk. I am about 99% sure I'll be pulling the trigger this month, just want to make sure I like the look. Thanks!

Ok I see that lowers seem to pretty popular. I have never ridden a bike that had lowers on it. What are the advantages of having lowers? Are they worth the money? At what temp do you have to take them off? Sorry for all the questions.

Advantages are the same as a windshield,.. protection from the elements mostly. The biggest advantage on a Road Glide, is they solve the buffeting. They are absolutley worth every penny. I never take mine off, and I have seen my air temp on the bike read 120 degrees.

I will take mine off when temps reach the 100 mark. But they go right back on at 90! I did put some Hoppee vents in mine and they work great. It did make me nervous to cut a hole in a brand new set of lowers! But they turned out perfect.

Lowers are sweet. I had them off this summer and put them back on when it cooled off. Now mine are the non-vented, so vents are in the near future, but I have no intention of taking them off very much if at all. Two much good with buffeting control. hodgeaaco, I think you will be happy you pulled the trigger on them. They look cool too, with or without the tourpak.
