I have a 2017 Road Glide Special Stage 1 with harley dyno tune. Now have 5000 miles on the bike. Took the bike out of storage and put 800 miles on it over the past few weeks. Took the bike out yesterday for a 60 mile trip (had a nice day in Connecticut).

I noticed a few things: 1) bike sounds much louder; 2) substantial shaking when I stop for a light; 3) engine sounds rough.

Also, just had low Z chizeled bars installed by dealer before my ride.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Spoke to them. They suggested maybe one more short trip but not to strain the engine if it continues. Currently waiting for rain/snow storm to pass through today and tomorrow but I am inclined to get it in. Maybe I will ask them to pick it up. Thanks for your comment. Regards

Not a silly question. I had so much trouble with my 2016 RGS that I do not activate the switch. That said..................since they replaced the handlebars, I wonder whether it was switched on. Thanks for the thought. Gives me an excuse to spend time with the bike tonight in the garage. The dealer is coming tomorrow to pick up so maybe I do not need them!

No idea about changing the handle..maybe ask Mods

Use the "post reply" button on the lower left; go to manage attachments, select the button..follow the pop-ups...

What is a "lighted instrument panel"?

Unfortunately the EITMS was not enabled so I will try and take the bike to the shop next week.

Drove it to the Dealer today. Now seems fine and they came out and spent a bunch of time listening to it. Will just watch it. :)

Well sure, with no fuel or ignition in the rear cylinder it's gonna idle rough.

Even here in the desert I keep mine off & only roll it on if I have the misfortune to be stuck in heavy, stopped traffic. In August. But, I avoid that scenario if possible.
