I think I need a Madstad on my ultra ;). Would somebody adress these three questions? Thanks in advance for your replies.

How is the Madstad installed? Can't find any installation instructions to look at.

How is it in the rain?

Does it reduce buffeting for the passenger?

The Madstad shield attaches to the Madstad base unit, you remove the 6? nuts on your stock shield and install the base unit using the same bolts.

No experience yet, but have heard that while moving it shoots the rain clear over your head, just like it does with the wind.

adjusted correctly it should work great for the passenger as well.

it is a little better in the rain than a standard shield but your not going to be dry in a downpour, I always raise mine all the way up when it's raining

Yes it definitely reduces buffeting for the passenger when adjusted correctly

Install is simple. If you can install any other shield then you can install a Madstad.

Somewhat better than stock in the rain.

My wife loves it! :)

Very simple to install. Bolt brackets to base plate, mount base plate to fairing, mount shield to brackets. Definitely reduces buffeting when properly adjusted. I recently exchanged my 13 inch dark tint for a 14.5 The buffeting was greatly reduced but I needed a little more protection for my passenger.

Yes you can use the Harley chrome trim with a Madstad. Your can judge for yourself if you like it or not.

I have the MOCO chrome trim on my MADSTAD. I think the chrome trim has been commented on many times for it's complex install on any windshield. I have found that starting all the screws loose and then moving each piece for a better fit prior to tightening works best. If you do not have the trim piece yet then don't get it. The problem with the trim piece is it can scratch or abraise the paint under it. I sometimes wish my bike had never been introduced to that trim piece.
