Well im back on the road after my accident on july 12, two months to the date rolling again, put on a pair of MGS slip ons on my fullsac pipe and all I have to say is wow, at first I wasn't sure about the sound, being that I just removed Rinehart 4 inch mufflers, but after a good 100 miles the sound def changed ,don't know if anyone has noticed this but they got better, also my new progressive mono-tubes and my rear HD premium shocks made the ride a whole different bike. I like the fit and finish of the MGS and when I spoke to mike when I ordered them he seemed like a cool dude to deal with, I highly recommend them. if you want quiet stick to screamin eagle mufflers IMO.:grin:

Yes NB I am , still awaiting my front fairing using my old scratched one for now, got to catch up on some miles, thanks again for your help.:wink:

I just removed my MGS from my 120R and replaced with D&D Boarzilla. Gonna have it dyno tuned soon. Will post number difference when done. I really liked the MGS but was curious to see how much power difference there is.

Standard, its loud when you crack it, but mellow on long slab trips
Perfect for me, and makes 98TQ at wheels all flat, just pipes and A/C

Okay, cool, I was asking because I have the loud, and they are a bit louder than my 4 inch Rinehart's, I figured the standard baffles would be too low , like my klockwerks sounds with the 2 inch baffles, I admit it's pretty good cruising though, not obnoxious loud.

I was told by MGS that the loud baffle is still a 2.25 inch so I would not lose any low end. Just curious I wonder what size is the quiet baffle you guys have.:confused:

I was sick of loud all the time vance and hines from chopper
this is perfect balance for me - i like my music too

So I guess you have the standard baffle its safe to say? I had Rinehart 4 inch mufflers before that got damaged in my accident, so I went with mgs, guys there told me the loud baffle was the way to go, I had klockwerks SS when I first got my glide and found them to quiet with the 2 inch baffle, but yes I like my music also,have to see only rode once with them since I installed them, I will post more after this weekend.

Well fellas the verdict is in! I really like these mufflers, I can hear my radio with no problem, they sound more like 3.5 inch rineharts but a little bit more aggressive, definitely deeper than my 4 inch rineharts, have about 300 miles in em now, usually it takes about 500 to have the pipes settle in, but overall for the look, fit and finish, as well as the price I give it a two thumbs up!:grin:

No need for luck, its proven research, anything bigger than a 2.25 inch baffle is not conducive to building torque, also they have torque cones built into the front of the mufflers, I didn't lose any low end, sounds better than my rineharts , and runs the same as well as a better price, the loud baffle is not that loud, I find its perfect and hear my radio with no issue cruising, too many people buy mufflers without looking at baffle design, a perforated core is less conducive to building torque than a louvered core, that is fact not opinion, same as in hot rod tech, I spent 26 yrs as a tech, when I buy something its not exclusively on sound and looks but also performance and design. I highly recomm these mufflers after about 500 miles they settled and sounded awesome IMO.
