OK, I know Yaffe's Monkey Bars are mentioned in about a million post's but I'm lookin for a little comparison and maybe some of you fellas can help me out. My big debate is what height I want to go with. My last bike had a set of 12" apes and they felt ok but I always kinda regretted not going with at least 15" or 16". What I'm wondering is if all y'all with em installed could post some pictures and list the height for comparison of looks and then any advice on how they feel now that you've rode with em on for awhile. I'm 6'-1" with a 32 inseam so I'm kinda thinkin I should be leanin towards a set of 15". I want my arms to be about parallel with the ground so I can have that nice kicked back relaxed feel. Also, how high can you go with a set on a 2010 RG without needing new cables?

Thanks in advance for any help and advice!

Hey,
Well in my opinion, If youare going to be a monkey might as well be a gorilla. So I ordered some 14" bars. I contenplated the 10" monkey bars but I knew I wouldnt be happy with them. Check out stylinproducts.com, you can get a complete set.

Prime example of why this forum is such a great thing!! Thanx for sharing the link to Stylin Concepts...

Stylin Concepts site shows some VERY nice products. Viewing their site has impacted the direction I want the customization of my bike to go. I will definitely be riding over there in the future..

WOW, just looked at the Styln site. Thoses things are really cool, would love to have the brake and clutch internal as well. $1300 does not look too bad if you are going higher and have to replace the cables anyway and new chrome sleek controls.....might have to check into those.

Anyone else have these with everything internal?

Cool bars

Those are some cool looking bars. The $1300 for internally wired bars isn't that far out of the ball park for price. I know I paid close to that by the time I put BR custom Ape Killers on my SG when I got through putting new cables and wires, and if they come to you wired up, it makes it sound even better. Plug, play and ride gotta love that.
