okay....lol, I'll give it some thought. Are you running a set of lowering blocks? Looks like it. I took mine off today. tire rub all the way down, on the one inch setting. Would hate to pop a a line and come to a screeching halt...lol...BTW: so everyone knows... I made a stupid move. I am using a handle bar switch, and didn't wire in a relay. Hence the leak and.....uhhhh, a smoking wire. Needless to say when I got home bought a relay and re wired the entire thing. Guess what??? No leaks now. I guess the dump, or the pump couldn't draw enough amperage to keep the valving closed all the way when I hit the switch... Now it is holding perfectly. Test ride tomorrow after work and who knows maybe a 2" pipe and a hammer too...lol. Thanks for everyones help and input...I do appreciate it...:D Four hours of sleep then off to work....4 in 24 is what my old DI used to say...just never knew when you were gonna get those 4...looks like now!
Yeah 1" lowering blocks and switched the back tire to a 180/60r16. Its smaller and won't rub the fender at all if the shocks fail and bottom drops down.

Ive been following this topic for awhile now and im contemplating doing this but i have to ask, has anybody ever just hooked up a compressor to the stock shocks before replacing them? Im kinda curious to see or feel the difference. Ok anyways, im sure this has been mentioned or asked before but what are the list of parts everyone is using to do this?

Im not sure the stockers can do that. I mean, whether at 0 or 50 psi Ive never really seen them move up or down.

Thats true. It was just a thought. Does anyone have an itemized list of parts needed?
The most cost effective way to do this is to go on amazon.com and type in the search window ... Viair 92c .... That's it then from there click on the one that is like $68.95 then it will give you items purchased with the pump , the Monroe's , bushings , fittings , dump vale , and switches ..

Finally got around to installing these air shocks and I was wondering if anyone else has concerns about the 2"x1/2" shock bolts that are OEM from the MoCo being too short. The Monroe shocks and bushing metal insert are much wider than the HD or Progressive 440's that I replaced. For peace of mind, I couldn't go with the 2"ers, I went and picked up 4 new 2 1/2" and larger diameter washers for both sides of each shock. Seems to hold the bushing better and not interfere with quick release mount on top of shock.

Anyone else have these concerns?

For those of you looking for a good weather proof toggle switch that has plenty of capacity so that you don't have to run a relay, I found one at West Marine..
It's a Cole Hersee rated at 25 amps for 12 volts. West marine Part number 143243. After a little drilling out a existing hole to 7/16 it fits nicely into the frame on right side under seat and in front of battery. I'll try and get a picture of the location. I didn't want to drill the side cover.

Here's a link.

Sounds greats.. Thx But I can come up there if need be.

I'm ordering the parts now.. Where do you get the compression fittings from? I got a parts list from another forum & it shows I need two pairs of compression fittings. Two 1/8 compression fitting and two 1/8 compression "t" fittings. or a set of push to lock fitting?
