Has anyone done the DIY air ride system with the corvette shocks. I am seeing a lot of other forums talking about this and getting it done for around $250. Any input from anyone.

Hey guys! Is it just me or are the energy bushings a Bitch to press into the Monroe's? Had to sand the inside of rubber to get the steel sleeve to fit...the rubber fits perfect when pushed in by hand then when i attempt to press the steel sleeve in, it pushes one side of the rubber bushing out the other end...?...am I missing something? Or a technique I should know about? Any help would be great. ....? Monroe 785...energy bushings # 9.9105g....2010 FLTRX

I did sand down mine a little but when I mounted the shock to the bike I let the bolt as I was threading it in do the job for me.

ok guys i ordered all the parts of course the only thing i ordered correctly was the 1/4 air line and the fitting that goes on the shock port its self..........the brass fittings that srews into the selenoid is the correct size but the line in end is 1/4 inch.....can anyone assist? on what the correct name and sizes for me? i thought i read Q's shopping list correct but evidently not.

what Is the a reason for 1/8 air line vs 1/4" ? maybe i should just purchase new 1/4 line and T's ...

For those of you doing it on a model with ABS. I found one other person that mentioned mounting it to the radio bracket under the fairing. This location worked excellent for me. Just carefully line up and drill and tap the holes, no special brackets needed.( i used the 98c compressor). Now that i got my minor leaks figured out( push connect fitting not all the way in). I am now enjoying this set up. I am going to change to a smaller line out of the dump valve in hopes to slow it down a little. If you are not careful you will quickly empty all the air. I currently have 1/4 in and out. I and going to reduce it to 1/8 out. Or i might have to get a different valve?
