You know while riding you can air up so you get the lean right? Fully aired up the monoroes are 14"

 

Making the mount for solenoid block and the 380c.

 

 

Just put a dummy muffler over the air tank & nobody would see it. That would work if you go 2 into 1 . With a tank it would be a much quicker response to raise it, that is for sure.

I'm using a side dump exhaust I fabricated & long ass bags. You'll never see any of it.

Ups just stopped by again.lol. Ridepro solenoid block with everything you need. 2 supply ports coming in, 2 feeds going out, 2 exhaust ports, & 2 ports for gauges. Bought it from Summit Racing $250 shipped. Super nice setup.

 

 

It's coming together. . I just got my upgraded fittings from charlie. Post more pic when it's completed.

Yeah Charlie makes some nice stuff. I made my own adapters for the push locks, but I bought his Delrin bushings. Happy customer.

 

I bought Charlie's pushloc fittings. Very nice. He's a good dude to talk to also.

Hey I am having hard time finding the monroes is there really any diffrence in the giebrials?

 

I got my monroes from Amazon and it had free shipping.

 

but are there any differences in the two?

 

I have the Monroe's. I had read somewhere that the Gabriel's were 0.25" shorter but don't quote me. Either one is fine.

For those mounting your compressor behind the right side cover, can you post pics? I went to Clem's house on Saturday and noticed he had a black plastic box behind the cover he mounted his in(non abs bike) but I don't have that box on my non abs bike so not sure how to mount mine there.

 

Here's a pic of the compressor under the side cover. I have the "box" but I had to cut the front edge off to get the compressor to fit. The pic doesn't show it cuz this was a test fit pic but I used 2 stainless hose clamps to secure it to the upper frame rail under the seat. Thanks. I don't know why mine doesn't have that box. I gotta figure out a way to mount it.

 

08 and 09 are probably different. If you have nothing there and the compressor fits which mine did only upside down. I usex 2 large hose clamps to secure it to the frame rail. The box isn't supporting the compressor in any way

 

Oh gotcha. How's the riding comfort with these? I love the cool factor but I'm the weight of most 2up much less when the ole lady is with me, so I'm hoping these will provide the better ride for us too.

 

I find that riding solo, and I'm 300+lbs that its about the same as the stock shocks. Where I think these shine is riding 2up. The more weight the better they are in my opinion. These shocks were designed for a car which is a lot heavier than our bikes will be loaded. Like I said I'm 300+ and my g friend is 118 lbs and we were floating down the highway.

 

That's good news. I'm heavier then you so that was my concern. Thanks for that info. We ride 2up about 40% of the time. Makes sense that they would ride better with more weight since they are car shocks.

 

The biggest thing is playing with the air pressures until you find your comfort zone. I didn't put a gauge in so I simply fully air up and adjust down accordingly.

 

Good deal. I'm going to install the gauge as well. The air temp gauge is worthless anyways.

 

I agree. The air temp gauge is completely worthless.
I too will be installing air ride here this weekend.
I currently am installing my exhaust and power and aux wires so I can play pandora on my bike so might as well go all out. Lol.
