Dewman, i actually pressed it part of the wayin by hand then just used longer bolts and put them on and let the bolt pull it in.

Hmmm, ok I will give that a shot. Is that how you got the factory bushings out? I know one side only has the rubber bushing but the other side of the shock has the bushing and insert and that is the side that won't come out. It's figuring to be a PITA... Thanks!

Here is my bike laid out.

And lifted all the way up.

I have a question for those of you using the Gabriel shocks, how did you get the factory bushings out and then energy suspension bushings in? I can get the sleeves in but there is no way the metal (brass maybe?) inner tube of the energy suspension bushings is going to go in, the fit is insanely tight.

Any suggestions?
Dremel the bushings out with a small barrel sander until just snug. Works beautiful

Pipe Clearance

Hey guys I saw some post about the pipes using straps or dent it. I have a few questions about this.

1. Has everyone had to do this?

2. Do you need to dent both sides? or just the right side?

About to pull the trigger on this either way just looking for some info.

I made straps out of small diameter cable. Works great

Ok guys I got the Gabriel 49304 Hijackers Air Shocks and have a questions about the nipple part where the air line goes in on the shocks. Anyone that has these shocks care to tell me if you turned them in or out? I noticed if they are out they are up against the bag on the right side when you put the bag back on.

I turned mine in. Didn't want to F up my bags and the plumbing of the air lines don't seem to get into the way of anything. I thought it was just my great fortune that the mounting holes and air inlet/outlets weren't nicely aligned. Than again, they are for vettes.

I was just wondering if anyone made limiting straps to limit the travel. How hard were these to make?

Yep its way pages back in this thread can't remember who did it but he used cable and crimps to make loop and mounted them to the shock bolts he did post pics
