Can't remember how far back it was but it's pretty straight forward get some 1/8" plastic coated cable at hardware store with 4 swedging eyelet kits and borrow or buy cable crimps.
Air the bike up to a level your comfortable with while in the saddle and measure the distance between shock bolts center to center. That's the length you want your cables. Strip back the plastic coating on the end of the cable enough to complete the eyelet and crimp wedge this is important because you get max strength out of the eye.
Once first eye is complete then measure and mark you center to center and cut plus 4" again strip casing from cable assemble the eye and double check measurement adjust and crimp
Buy 4 1/2 flat washers and 4 bolts 1/4 inch longer than the ones you have now and assemble with washer on both sides of the cable and tighten
