Went out for a 200 mile ride today to visit a friend. He has the Gabriel hijackers 49307 on his glide, he just pumps them up a little and no bottoming out. I pushed down on his back and felt stiff, I pushed on my rear shocks with 60 psi bottomed out. I am going to take them off and replace them with the Gabriel hijackers. He has done 6 other set up for other guys no problem. I might have gotten some bad shocks. Just my luck. Need to get these on by Thursday, River run is here, Or will just install stock ones till when I get back.
This is where I installed my pump.
If you read back a lil you see that most are running well over 60psi. I dont have a gauge but if im aired down and need to ride ill air back up to the max then adjust down to find my comfort zone. I dont bottom out but do find the monroes are slightly stiffer than stock when i ride solo.

I'm 180 and run about 80-85 when riding solo. I do find it rough but no harder than the stock FLTRX shocks it came with....so having the ability to raise and lower was pretty much the only plus for me. I will say though that riding two up and gear loaded does yield a softer ride than stock shocks, not a huge difference but just enough to notice.

BTW - 2up I ride at about 110-120 psi depends on load.
Paul, sense you are always good at this - link me the How to video/Pic thread,... I'm lazy today (again).:D. Oh, please sir.

I can't do mine

weightd the options

I favor a high lean over ground clearance

feel like the dumb kid in school, but can't put it on the bike since I have a lanky frame to throw around corners

science end of it is good, voltage manipulation and appreciated execution, always received

a bummer, cause nothing say cool bike like dropping that sh*t..

still a fan.. great thread

You know while riding you can air up so you get the lean right? Fully aired up the monoroes are 14"

Nice thing about having this is that you can drop it for the cool times & raise it when needed & the difference in the low & high is great. Some times you come across a steep exit coming out of a gas station, house, bar, ect ect. You normally would drag your pipes & you cringe, well you can raise it up & they won't hit. Mine are Rhinehart copy cats & they are long (about 3-4 " longer) I kept bottoming out on my pipes until I did this mod. Now, even with 2 up & my wife & I are not on the small side. Around 500# between the both of us. Plus I can lower it down to make it easier for my wife to get on.

great idea

but now it's even more - stock momentary switch is the

what you had just posted is kinda what I was thinking, assuming a $140 would cost me a couple grand total with all tolls - deep bag kit + - nice or why bother

great idea - I think I'll really check someone elses out first - haven't got a case of the 'got-to's' yet still at 'that's cool'

Ups just stopped by again.lol. Ridepro solenoid block with everything you need. 2 supply ports coming in, 2 feeds going out, 2 exhaust ports, & 2 ports for gauges. Bought it from Summit Racing $250 shipped. Super nice setup.
