the older i get, the more i appreciate music like Jimi from the 60s.
with the technology available at the time, they're not the cleanest recordings, but they really showcase talent. the playback technology didn't help, but we did what we could.
i was kinda late recognizing jimi's mastery, but "The Star Spangled Banner" from "Woodstock" is still one of my faves.

makes me wanna go out and buy another lava lamp and water pipe and get back to re-living my youth lol

King Crimson from the early 80s.
I've been on a Jack Kerouac kick lately.
If you gargle it, he and a few others started the "Beat Generation" in the 50s.
This song refers to him and Neal Cassady and their travel adventures.

Covington Ky's own Adrian Belew on guitar and vocals, Tony Levin on chapman stick, Robert Fripp on lead guitar, and the incomparable Dr. Bill Bruford on percussion.

Warning: complex time signatures contained within lol

KC in this format is my favorite. Saw them one night in Detroit after a Formula One race in '84

I had “Screamin Night Hog” running through my head in a loop for about an hour yesterday riding around northern Harnett county.
One of the first albums i purchased was "The Second."
Goldy could bang out some great Hammond B3 blues melodies.
RIP Jerry Edmonton & Goldy McJohn
