Watched an interesting video on YouTube about these gloves. They don’t actually make them, they source out the gloves, cut the cuffs off then do the fancy lace work. Looking forward to my order arriving but I’m sure it will be a couple months to Canada. They sure do look like works of art for sure!
That is I interesting. Ditto on the link request

It takes away from the product a little bit for me. IMO. Still made in USA so that’s a plus. But he gets the gloves and antiques them basically. They are still nice gloves and I’m still impressed. But a little of the aura is gone from them IMO.

I have 2 pair of Town View Mocs that are made by a family in their home in Main. They get the leather, they make the shoes, and it doesn’t take 7 weeks like MotoStuka.

I have been buying Popov Leather watch bands for over a decade, and own several wallets, and a notebook. Designed and created by them in house.

I waited 7 weeks for a pair of gloves that were stamped in hundreds (likely) and shipped to someone else to throw some stitching in and made to look old & worn. That’s just about 1 step away from ordering gloves from China and making them look old and worn.

I can tell they are quality. I can tell they will last a lifetime. Like I said…I’m still really impressed with them in the short time I’ve worn them and looked at them. Really happy to support a USA business (Businesses). I fully intend to make these my EDC riding gloves. Likely will order another pair, maybe some other stuff.

But….it’s not as special as something made entirely by one person or entirely from one hometown shop. Especially at 7 weeks lead time.

it’s like being super excited your mother took the time to make you a birthday cake only to find out she bought it from Kroger an hour before the party and added the candles. You’re still gonna eat it, still gonna enjoy your party. You just ain’t so impressed your mother took the time to acknowledge your birthday anymore.

I love my Stuka gloves and have 3 pair now. Rob’s a super nice guy even though he’s a California transplant to Texas, lol…. I’ve met him several times at a couple Texas rally’s and I’ve been to his shop a couple times in Llano and drank a couple beers with him. And you’re supporting a small USA business ran by him and his wife and 2 employees…….

Quality gloves made (or assembled) in USA by a family. I’m all in on that. I understand that sometimes you just don’t have the means to manufacture in house. I’m sure it keeps his profit margins intact. No issue with that.

My let down is from the get-go thinking they were 100% in house manufactured and made. That’s my mistake for assuming so.

I do want that tool roll. I just need to find somewhere, somehow to attach it to my bike. Because I can put the tools in this, in that and have it with me all the time again. Much more cooler in the MotoStuka roll than this

I wasn’t aware he didn’t make them from scratch either until I watched the video posted earlier…….🤷🏼‍♂️. Doesn’t make any difference to me though and it is what it is I guess…….

We would probably be surprised at how much stuff we think is bespoke that actually isn’t. I’m over it!

I just love leather stuff. It reminds me of a bygone era when we didn’t have synthetics. Leather takes on a character of its own. Lasts a lifetime. It’s unique. Maybe pisses off some people which is also appealing

I’ve got all leather hats, shoes, boots, wallets, watch bands, gloves, jackets, pants, notebook covers, laptop covers, hell IDK what else. To me the appeal is the lifetime of use you get out of it and the memories made with it. I don‘t care if it gets dirty, worn, used, oily, cut, scraped, roughed up….that’s the appeal of owning a leather product. You won’t just willy nilly discard it. You’ll continue to use it because you’ve developed a relationship with it.

it’s the reason why I still have my dads leather riding jacket after…..50-60 years. A nice pair of leather gloves will fit right in the pocket.

My Bronze Shanks arrived the other day and boy are these gloves nice.
A bit tight at first but they remind me of an old baseball glove, how the leather smells. And we All know it takes time to break a ball glove in.
I’ve been wearing these on and off the past couple of days and they are starting to break in nicely.
All in all I am satisfied with them.

First ride today with the new gloves. They need some breaking in for sure. Very tight. I have to get used to the controls with new gloves too. Won’t take long though.

I'm still not bent.....

but I still haven't received a reply from him...

I guess I should chill a little while longer huh?
🤣
You probably won’t. I emailed him and 2 days later got a shipping notification. Never got a reply. Def should have the gloves by now I would think.

I placed an order July 26....still no gloves...They may be the best gloves ever made, but that aren't all that great when they are sitting someplace. Apparently he does not make the gloves himself. He buys them premade and then does a process to waterproof them and put his logo on them. Time will tell.

I been using mine almost exclusively since I've had them. They are starting to break in finally. They are nice for sure but I think the majority of the credit should go to the place that actually makes them. IDK how dye, waterproofing, and a logo stamp equate to fit, comfort, and durability.
